August 2003 was a very hot month and I thought that the emerald shores of
Mt. Pelion on the east coast of Central Greece,
whose magical thick forests were the legendary home of the Centaurs,
would provide the soothing solution.
What started as a short trip ended almost a month later as a tour of the
eastern coast of Greece, from the green bays of the mountains of Thessaly
to the fjords of Chalkidiki peninsula, through the labyrinth of the Nestos River Delta
and all the way to the unvisited endless sandy coastline of Thrace.
